Ratio,Ratio:

Someone might say that the exhibition explores something like the gesture — and its very aestheticization — as an element that does not merely serve to complement, but to transform meaning and perception. Instead of stabilizing form, it moves through constant disruption, delay, and displacement.
In relation to Barthes’ Ornamental Cookery, it examines how seemingly minor details — in both art and everyday life — function as mechanisms of estrangement. The original meaning gradually fades, replaced by its own staging. Rather than reaching completion or resolution, the process remains in motion. What should serve merely as decoration paradoxically becomes a driving force of destabilization, revealing that aesthetic decisions are never neutral — they always carry a relationship to broader structures of power and value.
Decorative elements that at first glance appear marginal are, in fact, tools for redefining and manipulating perception.
This shift doesn’t occur only within the artwork itself, but permeates the entire system in which the artist and their work are transformed into a product subject to economic forces. Small, inconspicuous decisions shape agreements about what is perceived as valuable, original, or authentic. The exhibition investigates how these mechanisms not only reinforce normative structures but also question them. What might seem like a superficial layer often bears deeper significance, linking aesthetics to broader questions of power, commerce, and the manipulation of value.
Instead of definitive forms and fixed rules, what emerges is constant variability — value is not derived solely from the final object, but from the entire network of elements that shape our perception of art and its place in the cultural and economic landscape.
